An event like this denotes true pampering for the society! Free flow of Nicholas Feuillatte champagnes and fresh Irish oysters were certainly dedicated to commemorating World Oyster Day at the contemporary 7atenine in June.
The night was filled with fabulous people, jazz music, magnificent mollusk and champagne. We wined and dined with glamour followed by a trivia challenge and a gorgeous pearl fashion show by Edward Kong. I enjoyed the successful event with my friends, Sidney, Esther and Yvonne as we experienced a truly unforgettable night filled with bubblies and aphrodisiac crustaceans!
The fresh briny oysters were so delectable and I lost count of how many I devoured with fresh lemon and Tabasco . My favorite of the night was oyster shooters with a cold lemon sorbet! Not to forget, one of the best champagne from Nicholas Feuillatte was a great pairing with the oysters.

The Faces
Edward Kong, the man responsible for Edward Kong, South Sea Pearls had graciously presented a RM6,000 pearl necklace as a lucky draw for one of the lucky guest that night! A man of more than 17 years experience, I found out that each and every pearl is truly one-of-a-kind with its dimples. I am also proud of the fact that Mr. Kong announces that Malaysia produces one of the best qualities of pearls in Sabah . The molluscs are cultivated for four years before they are harvested and designed into jewelry.
Mr. Kong began his journey to pearl paradise in 1994 and since devoted years to discovering the secrets of cultivation the South Sea pearls. Borne from passion and persistence in collaborating with nature to produce its most valuable gem, and tapping Japanese and American know-how, every pearl sold in his boutique is true to his promise that the pearls are all natural with no treatment, coating and varnishing to ever touch mother nature’s gift!
The Fashion Show
Gorgeous beauties modeled Mr. Kong’s luscious and luster pearls that night which makes all the women in the room wanting a piece of mother nature’s prized possession.
The Place
The event was certainly a beautiful night with famous guest lists like Ning Baizura and her hubby, Dennis Lau and so forth. Coupled with great friends and the glorious food and wine, the Champagne and Oyster Soiree@7atenine will certainly be a memorable one!
