Guinness Anchor Berhad’s (GAB) bigger and better Chinese New Year celebration just moved up a notch, as the first of the 99 ‘Golden Dragon Nights’ took place this evening at DG Food Court in Puchong, where a replica of the grand 1-kilogram Golden Dragon statue made a public appearance. As part of GAB’s ‘9 Grand Treasures for the Year of the Dragon’ campaign, consumers now have the chance to enjoy Chinese New Year festivity at the 99 ‘Golden Dragon Nights’ which will take place at participating coffee shops and food courts nationwide.
Patrons toasted ‘Yum Seng’ in the first ‘Golden Dragon Night’ in Puchong as they were treated to great food, performances, and a lucky draw, as well as the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the Golden Dragon replica.
Secretly tucked in Puching, DG Food Court was certainly a huge food court filled with loads of local hawker delights. The food court was super crowded the night I was there and the queue was long for picture taking festivities with the gorgeous gold Dragon!
In honor of the coming new year, most of the patrons at DG Food Court were treated to a Lou Sang!
That awesome night, everyone was treated to much entertainment of Lion Dance Performance, Illusionist Performance and lots of Music Performances!

We also enjoyed a live performances of traditional Chinese New Year songs to jazzed up the ambience by this group who could shake their bootie very well!!
Prosperous luck was in abundance as patrons stand a chance to win not just the 1-kilogram Golden Dragon statue but also eight pieces of 100-grams Gold Dragon coins and more than 90,000 sets of gold and cash prizes. They just need to check the bottle cap liners of any big bottle of Tiger, Guinness, Heineken and Anchor and be ready to welcome an abundance of wealth during this auspicious festival.
Lucky patron of the night Krishnan s/o Malakolandan walked home with the lucky draw grand prize of RM999. Other lucky draw prizes were eight cartons of Tiger and Guinness. Said Krishnan, ‘I really happy to be the lucky winner of this lucky draw prize. My daughter is 16 years old this year and I will be saving up the money for her future education. My friends and I are regulars at DG food court and we are just very happy tonight to enjoy this Chinese New Year luck from GAB.’
That night showed how everyone can be a part of GAB’s Chinese New Year celebration with no boundaries!
Subsequent ‘Golden Dragon Nights’ will be rolled out throughout January 2012, where consumers can expect ‘Yee Sang’ tossing sessions, lion dances, great performances, exciting games, lucky draws and chances to win great prizes. The replica Golden Dragon statue will also be present at selected Golden Dragon Nights where consumers can get a closer look and have their pictures taken with it.
