A Feast of Local Flavours @ The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur


Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner Buffet


As we set sail into the festive months of June and July, a feast of sumptuous pleasures awaits at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Starting from 13 June to 2 July, diners are taken on a delicious culinary journey with the Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner held at Level 3 of the Function Rooms of the hotel.

Dine with family and friends or business colleagues and savor some of the best Malaysia’s nine Royal states recipes prepared specially by Chef Zaidi and his team. Chef Zaidi has created a list of rotational menu daily in honor of showcasing authentic recipes of Malay cuisine handed down from generations of families. These recipes are classic favorite’s flavours that evoke heart-warming childhood memories where many kampong feasts brought family and friends together for festive occasions.


For classic must-have, feast on a Whole Roasted Lamb served alongside with gravy, sambals, mint sauce and more. Along the grilled section, Aneka Ikan Bakar which includes Grilled Kembung Fish and Stingray is aromatically grilled with banana leaves and served with Sambal Kicap Hitam, Budu, Sambal Cincalok and Sambal Belachan.



Let’s not forget our nation’s favorite street food of tender and juicy Satay served with Peanut Sauce and Nasi Impit and condiments.



Signatures of states’ specialties include Perak’s Udang Galah Sambal, Kedah’s Rendang Itik, Johor’s Kambing Kuzi, Trengganu’s Singgang Tulang, Kelantan’s Ayam Kerutuk and more. The warming pots of curries cooked from a long list of spices and herbs are beautifully enticing with flavours and textures as well as presentations. 









More local dishes to sample are Ketam Masak Kari, Sotong Kari, Daging Briyani, Kari Ikan Tenggiri Dengan Bendi, Dalcha Sayur and more.







A must-visit corner of Aneka Gorengan features glorious spiced marinated meat and seafood of Udang Galah Goreng, Burung Puyuh Goreng, Sotong Goreng, Ketam Goreng, Ikan Goreng and more.




To warm the tummies after a long day, enjoy the hot and soothing Bubur Lambuk as well as Sup Daging, both cooked with spices to tantalize the taste bud.



Pay a visit to the array of mouth-watering Kerabu bar where lots of salads of Kerabu Colek Perut, Kerabu Kerang, Kerabu Mango and Acar together with Ikan Masin and Telur Masin as well as Keropok and Jeruk Buah is an explosion of flavours on the palate.






Live action stations will be serving up various noodles such as Asam Laksa Penang and freshly prepared Roti Canai and Murtabak.



End the evening with a list of sweet temptations of Aneka Kuih Muih, Kurma, Fresh Fruits, Cakes, Cookies and more. Authentic Malay desserts such as Kuih Peneram, Seri Muka, Buah Melaka, Tapai Pulut and Tapai Ubi are also available.







For durian lovers, indulge in the Bubur Kacang Hijau with Durian or Santan Durian as well as Pengat Pisang. There is also Ice Cream and Ice Kacang to freshen up the palate.



The Majestic Festive Banquet Dinner will be held from 13 June to 2 July and is priced at RM125 nett per person.





Festive Variety Dinner Buffet at Contango


For a local and international variety, indulge in a feast at the Festive Variety Dinner at Contango, a luxuriously designed contemporary restaurant featuring an interactive dining concept with two open kitchens. Diners will be able to enjoy a spread of international favorites with a special focus on local Malay cuisine during this promotional month.

The Festive Variety Dinner at Contango will be held from 4 June to 5 July and is priced at RM145 nett per person.
