Selera Kampung dengan Geng Wak Long at Melati

The holy month of Ramadhan is near and Dorsett Grand Subang is bringing back a feast showcasing the delights of two worlds under one roof. Available from 7 June to 6 July, 2016, diners can opt for the authentic Selera Kampung at Melati Ballroom where diners are also treated to live entertainment by Geng Wak Long or dine at Flavours of Ramadhan at Terazza Brasserie for a local and international spread of dishes with an Arabian Theme.

Feast on the must-have Roasted Whole Lamb with Mandy Rice, a whole lamb slow roasted and marinated with myriad spices to tenderize and flavour the lamb. The lamb was beautifully succulent and tender that warrants a few helpings. There are Mandy rice and various sauces to go with the lamb.

Another crowd please in any Buka Puasa feast is the rich and spiced-laden Gear Box Soup. The nutritious and delicious soup is well-known of its use of cattle bone boiled with a multitude of spices that gave the soup its wonderful earthy and spicy note. One can help themselves to a bowl of Gear Box Soup filled with pieces of boiled beef, beef brisket and beef trip together with the selections of aromatics of fried shallots, coriander, Kicap Cili sambal and more.

More hot buffet warmers are filled with authentic flavours of Selera Kampung from Chef Shabani Sahan and his team where dishes like Masak Lemak Nenas Ikan Masin, Sambal Sotong Petai, Chili Crab, Ikan Keli Salai Berlada and more are tempations that beckons for steamed white rice.

There is also the fluffy and spiced up Nasi Briyani Gam Ayam. Beautiful long-grained basmathi rice tainted with turmeric and a list of spices to perfume and flavour the rice. Cooked till fluffy, dig into the rice to enjoy pieces of tender chicken also cooked with lots of spices and boiled egg. Add on a lashing of thick Dhal Curry for extra creamy and tasty note.

Kerabu salads is great to whet the appetite too. Savor authentic kerabu salads such as Kerabu Mangga, Kerabu Pucuk Ubi, Kerabu Aneka Laut, Kerabu Jantung Pisang and more together with Ulam Ulam Segar dengan Sambal Mangga, Sambal Tomato, Cencalok, Budu and Tempoyak.

After a long day of fasting, it is always comforting to Buka Puasa with soup as it is comforting for the tummy and the soul. Enjoy Sup Tulang Kambing Berkentang and Sup Isi Ketam dengan Jagung Manis together with Bubur Lambuk and more to warm up the tummy.

Live stations featuring freshly made Roti John and Mee Rebus dengan Iringan makes great fillers to keep everyone satisfied.

From their repertoire of culinary indulgences, Chef Shabani Sahan, sous chef and his team have prepared a spread of local and international cuisine inspired by their Arabian Theme this Ramadhan.

Diners will feast on Arabian inspired fishes such as Sharwarma, Roasted Lamb with Arabian Fragrant Rice, Turkish Ice Cream (Dondurma) and many more dishes from appetizer to main to dessert as well as other dishes from the live stations.
