international cuisines. For the holy month of fasting, dine on a feast of
traditional flavours specially prepared by Executive Sous Chef, Saiful Baharin
Abdul Wahid and his culinary team at Cinnamon
Coffee House.
Themed
‘Sajian Nostalgia Bersama Chef’, the
buffet dinner starts 27 May to 5 July, 2016 from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. Set
in the spacious coffee house, the buffet dinner offers many dishes as well as
live action stations preparing fresh food to order. The ambiance is elegant and
spacious, great for small or large parties.
Holding
the limelight this year are 6 specialty soups to warm up your evening. Leading
the pack is of course the classic Sup
Gearbox, a soup cooked with huge beef bones joints and lots of aromatic
spices. After long hours of boiling, the beef bone marrows becomes lusciously
soft, creamy and super rich. To enjoy Sup Gearbox, one literally needs a straw
to enjoy the marrow as well as the soup.
There’s
the usual glorious Whole Roasted Lamb
that is well marinated with lots of spices. Savor tender pieces of the lamb
with the many sauces and sambals available.
Main
dishes from hot buffet warmers include Beef
Rendang Minang Kabau Style, Prawns with Petai Beans & Chili Paste Malaibari
Style, Fried Sweet & Sour Fish Mahligai Style, Chicken Kapitan Sri Rampai,
Lamb Briyani Indrapura Style, Mix Vegetables with Chicken Liver, Briyani Rice
with Cashew Nuts and more.
More
Malay dishes set on various sections of the buffet are just as tempting with
the list of Lemang, Ketupat, Beef
Rendang, Serunding, Beef Deng Deng, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak warrants a
helping at the least.
Gulai
kawah makes its ritual appearance and this year, expect Daging Kawah, Kari Ikan Kawah and Kari Daging cooked in the traditional large kawahs.
Pair
the meat and seafood with a long list of Kerabu
salads, Ulam-Ulaman, Sambals, Tempe, Ikan Masin, Telur Masin and more for
well-balance meal. The vibrant flavours of the salads and sambals are
guaranteed to whet your appetite for more dishes…
There’s
Spiced Bubur Lambuk with its list of
condiments to warm up the tummy after a long day of fasting.
Sharwarma, Roti John, Roti Canai,
Murtabak and more
never fails to appease diners with their warm and comfort flavours.
Going
international, the Japanese Bar is definitely a crowd favorite with its spread
of Japanese classics such as Sashimi,
Sushi, Maki Rolls, Tempura, Soba and Udon,
Japanese Curry and more.
There
is also Seafood on Ice where lots of
prawns, crab, mussels and oysters are chilled on ice, ready for your pick.
The
Indian station is laden with mouth-watering pots of Squid Sambal, Chicken with Honey, Lamb Curry, Crab Curry, Prawn Sambal
as well as fried items of Fried Chicken
Liver, Fried Fish Egg, Fish Masala, Fried Vegetables and Fried Cabbage.
Next
to the Indian station is the Grill
station where diners can select their seafood and meat of choice and let
the chefs cooked it to your order. There is also skewers of Chicken, Lamb and Beef Satay at this
station too.
